Chicken genetics questions?! Feathered heads and feathered feet?

We have been chicken owners for 5 years plus and have always purchased hatchery babies. This year though we incubated some of own which will be cross breeds...and the kids are excited! I have two roosters with feathered heads (Appenzeller Spitzhauben) and one rooster with feathered feet (White Brahma). How does genetics work? Does anyone have previous experience or knowledge? 7 chicks hatched last night, 3 with feathered feet.... will the other 4 have feathered heads? Is feathered feet and head a dominant trait? Will it always carry through?

Thanks! Some of my hens do not (blue orpington, sussex) have either and some do (splash marans). I'm thinking the roosters genetics would carry through on the breeds that do not, too!
