Chicken genius needed to tell me what I have here!

    If anyone could help me out with this I would greatly appreciate it. I'm pretty new to chicken ownership and I don't know what this little black hen is. She lays a cream-colored egg every day or so and she is rather small (see the photo of her next to my Delaware hen). She has some interesting white spots near her ears.

    The guy I bought her from didn't know what she was either (my kids picked her out and named her Maleficent). He said the guy he got her parents from called them a "Jungle File," but that makes no sense. If anyone could help out I would greatly appreciate it!

    Looks like a black Dutch bantam.
    But I can't see the comb properly, if it's a rose comb it could be a 'black rosecomb bantam'...
    Looks purebred though, you probably misheard the man and he said 'jungle fowl' but even so, this is not what that is

    Could be a Rosecomb, but I can't see the comb clearly enough. Otherwise, is probably a mixed breed.

    she really does look like a rose comb bantam(tiny chicken) white ear lobes and of course a rose comb [​IMG]
