Crowblossom
In the Brooder
Hello,
I have a 2 year old Golden Sex Link chicken (her name is Cinnamon) who got attacked by a hawk not too long ago. I've never had a hawk attack before.
A handful of Cinnamon's tail feathers were plucked out. This is the only injury on her. I checked her injury. There is obvious blood, some skin scratches but they aren't deep. I sprayed chicken medicine on it. It also deters my other chicken from pecking at it while it heals.
Do I need to bathe Cinnamon to clean the scratches or anything? or keep Cinnamon in a separate spot? I currently have two chickens, sadly the others died of illness. I don't want to leave my other chicken alone since the loneliness probably won't help with the shock.
Along with that, will my chickens heal from their shock? They refused to move from inside the coop and will only eat their favorite treats, raisins and sunflower seeds.
