When do I need to start providing grit to my little flock?

As soon as they eat anything other than their starter feed. Treats, anything. If they are babies, there is "chick grit" which is a much smaller size than the grit for adult chickens. Sometimes there's a little window on the bag and you can see the size of the grit. It will be obvious that the adult grit is too big once you see it
