Chicken growth

Chicks turn into pullets when they're a few weeks/months old. I generally call chicks pullets and cockerels once they're old enough to be sexed and confidently called pullets and cockerels.

Pullet: Female Chicken under One Year
Cockerel: Male Chicken under One Year

Once they're a year old (12 months from hatch) they're considered Hens and Cocks/Roosters : D When they start laying generally depends on the specific breeds ^^
