Chicken Guard Questions

I am about to buy either the chicken guard or the chick safe automatic doors. Does anyone know what the difference between the new and old model of the chicken guard is? And is there really any difference between the two brands?

I haven't used either of these, but I have the Ador door, and love it. Simple to install, and it always opens & closes for me.
