I am installing a Chicken Guard coop door.my problem is I have a motion light that may activate the light sensor at night and open the door. Any way around this. I didn't want to use the timer on the Chicken Guard

I could be wrong, but think I read that LED lights don't trip the sensor (issue for me too and have been researching automatic doors). Can you use a LED bulb? Please let me know how it works!

I've heard the LED light theory also. I will give it a try this weekend.
Thanks

I just spoke to Chicken Guard and they told me their light sensor will not react to a motion light turning on. The light sensor takes 5 readings per hour so if there is a flash of lightning or a motion light comes on and then turns off it is just one of five events and it disregards it.
Hope this helps
