CHICKEN HARNESS

LOOKING FOR CHICKEN HARNESSES. ANYONE KNOW WHERE THESE CAN BE PURCHASED?

I don't know about a chicken harness specifically, but you can get parrot harnesses at most major pet stores that have a good selection of bird supplies. I do have this awful picture in my head of a chicken flapping at the end of a leash while its freaking out though :/ I'm not judging, but I have to ask....why does your chicken need a harness?

If you modified an apron to add a strap across the chest and one behind the legs, that might work.

Not sure if your still looking or trying to figure something out but depending on the size of your chickens can help make your decision, I have a silkie and we have her in a figure 8 cat harness, as for why you would need a harness, I harness trained to be able to take her out so she can explore the neighborhood and the neighbors lawns. I began by getting her use to being held alot, then when she would walk right up to be picked up i started walking around the yard having her follow me, once she had mastered that I picked her up and slipped the front loop around her neck and adjusted it to fit snug enough that she wouldn't slip out but not tight, then i brought the back around and clipped it behind the wings so she still had full wing range, after she got use to having the harness on. i put the leash on and just let her walk around with it dragging, be sure not to let it get snagged. then after a while I picked up the leash and walked her around.

My duaghter uses a rabbit harness. Hers is not a figure 8 harness, it is more of a "coat" style harness. I think hers isthe same as the pink/green combo one here:

Funny thing, when she put it on her favorite chcicken the first time the chicken just fell right over on it's side. It will take them time to get use to.

I got a cat harness for my girl Jetta, she freaked out at first, throwing herself at the side of the coop then falling over. this continued for a few minutes and then she started to calm down. I left the harness on her for a day so she would feel comfortable doing all the usual chicken things with it on. then I took her out of the coop on a leash and I always keep it really slacked, she still gets upset with a lot of pressure from the leash but she's really great about putting the harness on and she loves her trips around the yard!

If you Google it, there are chicken harnesses and leashes. I was just loooking at some to buy and I just Googled "Chicken Harness."
