So, lately I've been thinking of getting some chicken harnesses for when my chicks get here, as a way to exercise them when they're older. It would be nice to have them eat some of the ticks in my yard. Free- ranging is not an option where I live because my yard isn't fenced in and I have 3 hawks and a cat who like to visit. They will be in a run. However, the run is currently quite bare and probably isn't going to grow in before winter. Do you have any tips on how to make this work?

I get the Aviator bird harnesses for my chickens. Super strong, doesn’t impact their crop in any way and is relatively easy to get on. I will need to see what size best fits larger hens, as I got a too small of one and had to get a larger size. They are sort of costly but it is a good product.

Which size do you like to get? For reference, I mainly plan to use it on some Andalusians since I've read they like to scratch a lot.
