About two months ago Billy managed to hurt the edge of her wing along the bone. I have never in my 20+ years of animal owning had a harder wound to heal. I'm almost positive she opens it up by preening. Whenever it opens it leaves literal puddles of blood on the ground and can take up to an hour to get it stopped bleeding. Cornstarch and wound powders don't stem the bleeding and I usually just end up fighting her while I hold a towel against it tightly. If the wound was in any other location I'd wrap it to keep it protected but I can't think of a way to do it with its location. Poor Billy is getting stressed from being handled so much and having her wound fiddled with. What can I do to get it healing? Is there a way to wrap it?
I grabbed a picture off Google and drew a line to show the area where she's hurt. I think it's along the actual joint but honestly I haven't been paying much attention to exact location since I'm usually busy trying to prevent her from bleeding to death.
