chicken has been seating please help

I was wondering how long does it take for a chicken seating for the eggs to hatch?? Also is there anyway I can tell if there is going to be a chick or dud? Please help!

They should hatch at 21 days. You could try to candle them and see if they are viable.

I would candle them depending on how far along they are. I usually do my first candle at day 10 as then I can clearly see the veining and embryo.
