Chicken has Brown Tongue

Hen has a brown tongue, makes it look like a leaf. Found stuff online about black tongue, but I didn’t know if it was different due to the coloring.
Does anyone have any advice on how to treat/what could be wrong? She has only laid 1 egg this week so far, eating and drinking like normal.

Can you post a picture? Look inside her beak in case something (a string or hair) has wrapped around the tongue. Also note if there is any yellow gunk on the tongue or cheeks.

I’ll ask my boyfriend to get a picture but it won’t be until later today. I didn’t see any string or hair wrapped around the tongue, it’s like the top of her tongue itself is brown around the edges (middle strip is still white) and there are brown veins visible from the top.

I didn’t see any gunk or anything else abnormal.
She is injured from a rooster being aggressive while breeding, but I didn’t think that would specifically affect her mouth?

It’s possible… she had been outside for maybe an hour before we noticed… just wanted to rule out any issues or something we needed to do for her
