I was hoping you could help with my sick chicken. I came to let them out of the coop and she was still on the roost (she’s normally squawking at the door, ready to run out.) She’s a random layer, sometimes she lays while on the roost, or soft shell eggs, or she eats her eggs, etc.
I took her off the roost and put her in the nest, thinking maybe she needed to lay. She got out almost immediately and stood near the wall of the coop, with her tail up and pulsing up and down. She hasn’t wanted water or food. I checked the surface under the coop and she had diarrhea overnight. She is now back in the nest but facing the back of the coop (not normal for her.) here is a photo of some of her poop.
