chicken has no tail feathers

hi everyone,

2 of our chickens have no tail feathers, one is on the way. they do look pretty funny. i know that they have been molting for the last while but is this normal?

they don't seem to be bothered more than their normal chicken hygiene. someone did mention that it might be mites.

anybody with the same thing? any answers?

Yep, pretty normal for the moult. Just up the protein level of your feed, and add some black oil sunflower seeds to help them along.

Check for lice eggs around the shafts of the feathers close to the vent.
