chicken has not layed an egg in a while

Hi, I have a barredrock chicken that has not layed an egg in several weeks but tonight she layed an egg. Would it be Ok to eat the egg she just layed since she has not layed in a while? Thanks

You are not alone in my experience chickens don't need much to stop laying. A change in the weather, loud noise, predator attack. They may stop for days weeks you just never know.
To answer your question YES.
Once the get back on the job the eggs are fine.
