so, I have a black sex link going on 3 years old in April and she has only molted 1 time. the first year I got her. the last 2 winters no molting but my other chickens molted. i'm concerned there is something wrong with her. she gets 18% protene feed layers crumble just like the other chickens but still she does not molt. is this bad? also she is very broody for about 5 months only leaving to eat then back on the nest. shouldn't she be done being broody already? her feathers are still nice also.

Some birds do a soft molt. Some loose old and grow new feathers a few at a time. Sometimes it is not noticeable. Either way I wouldn't worry if her feathers good.
Being broody that long must be hard on her body. She will stop being broody when "chicks hatch". If you are not planning on chicks you need to break her broodiness. If you have tried keeping her away from eggs/nest and it didn't work then you probably need to use a broody cage.

this is what i was fearing. i guess its time for the timeout box. the coop has a door. i guess its time to close the door after they lay their egg. and force them in the yard away from the run/coop
