Hello! One of my girls, an 11 week old red sex link, has one eye that is about a fifth closed - not much, just enough to make her look suspicious with me from one side. The other side is fine, and her two flock mates eyes are fine. I noticed this a couple days ago. She has been sneezing, but not all that much. Maybe once or twice an hour. All of my chickens have sneezed occasionally from the time they were chicks. I put some VetRX in their water, though from what I understand that’s not very helpful.

From what I can tell she is eating well. I did notice a watery poop yesterday. She is drinking regularly. I left their coop open last night to air it out.

How should I proceed?

Or Mycoplasma.
Does she look anything like this?

Do her nostrils appear clear?

I just went out to take pictures - I swear she was trying to keep me from taking pictures of the “bad” eye. Her nostrils seem clear - that fleck of red is from a strawberry she ate a bit ago.

Here’s her good eye and a much worse shot of the bad one (sorry, I blame her.)

How is she doing today?

No better, but also no worse! I sat out with them when I got home from work and she was eating and drinking and doing little pecking order hops at her sisters for control of the strawberry tops (there were strawberries in the CSA this week so they’re a little spoiled.) She honestly seems totally fine, apart from the one weird eye. But the one weird eye is really freaking me out.

What do you have in their coop? Dust from shavings can cause sneezing... and maybe she got a bit in her eye.
