Chicken has wierd white lump under her vent help

OK thank you so much! This is extremely helpful and we def. need the step-by-step.
She is probably our favorite chicken so we don't want anything bad to happen to her! I will let you know if we have more questions.

Thankfully we accomplished the "surgery" today and it went amazingly well. Paprika was distracted with treats and didn't even flinch. We circled the unfurled feather and the reddish areas are iodine. She didn't bleed or even seem notice what we were doing. So from here we should just put antiobiotic cream on it daily and keep a close eye on it?

Or can we continue to spray with the iodine daily?

You can use antibiotic cream daily, Vetericyn, betadine, or whatever you have. Good job!
