Yes 1 day isn't long enough.

The eggs kept slipping out so I made this box thing so the eggs won’t slip out from under her as much

If the box doesn’t work idk if the eggs are only on day 1 now? Day 2? I might have to start all over an dot would be a fail. The eggs keep getting pushed out. I have to craft something new tomorrow.

Try not to interfere with what the hens doing too much. You don't want her to abandon the eggs altogether.

Yea, I’m not. She doesn’t seem to mind to much. I need to try the box thing though. Otherwise the eggs are 100% not going to hatch

I’m not sure how this will go! We may get 1 or 2 hatches or more. Maybe none! But it’s fun sharing this experience with you all! I have about 5 eggs right now. If this doesn’t work I’ll try again in spring around April!

I had a Buff Orpington hen hatch some Runner Duck eggs some years ago and it worked out quite well, at least until the ducklings were old enough to hop in the kiddy pool - Mrs. Orp was not the least bit happy about that at first!
