Chicken Hawks or other large birds

Has anyone ever had a chicken attacked or carried off by a large bird? I'm scared to let my little bantams out.

! Happy to have you in our flock! YES!! Hawks, owls, falcons, eagles are all serious threats to even full sized chickens! Type in the word hawk or owl into the BYC search bar and you will find dozens and dozens of threads of tragic stories! Or just go thumb through the Predators & Pests forum. Keep an eye on those banties (and consider a covering of some sort for your run). Good luck to you!
