Hi Bay Area folks! We have a charming rooster who we would love to breed with our hens but who, well, doesn’t quite have the technique. I’ve watched all the videos on artificial insemination (“chicken porn”, my fiance calls it) and tried all the techniques in the videos, in Storey’s guide, etc, but can’t manage to get the semen for collection. I’m sure I must be doing something wrong. Is there anyone out there in the Bay Area who is experienced in these matters? I would be so grateful if you could tell me what I’m doing wrong! Happy to travel with our gentleman roo and bring him to you .
