This auction is for 1 saddle. You can get more for the same price if you need more. Shipping is usually just a couple bucks for a larger order. See bottom of page for costs. "Carhart" canvas denim backs and cotton fronts. Double reinforced edges. These will not flip up. Denim is just the right weight for protection without being heavy. Made with heavy duty snaps I use so they are easy to put on the hen. They won't come unsnapped unless the hen gets caught up on something. Don't worry the rooster will not tear the hens apron off with the snaps I use. I have made the ones without snaps and fitting a hens feathers and stretching elastic around them is not fun. Most of all for the safety of my birds and yours I prefer to make my saddles with snaps. I sew my elastic ends to prevent fraying. My hens don't mind wearing these at all and it really helps keep their backs from getting bare. Any questions feel free to contact me. I have a lot of different colors. Ask and I can usually find what you like. I use these on my hens and I love them. $3.00 each. Just because they are inexpensive they are not "cheap". I buy all my materials in bulk and pass the savings on to you. Thanks to BYC for letting me sell here I can keep prices reasonable. I have sold to hundreds of customers on BYC. I've had people tell me that they bought aprons / saddle from me 2 years ago and they are still holding up!!! The are washable. Please PM me here and not email. BYC emails sometimes get lost in my junk inbox. Thanks and ask any questions you need about anything. Tess

feather growth from wing protector.

This style of wing protector was designed and tested by me. It has 2 layers of denim on the top and cotton. They will not flip up when the hen moves around. These will stay in place and your hens will still be able to fly and be mobile. Mine also has elastic in the wing protector part to allow movement. Others are copying it but I guarantee mine works the best.

U shaped wing protector saddle. $7 This is the ultimate body armor for the bald bird. lol.

Chicken / duck / geese diapers. $6.25 to $13.25 depending on size. Waterproof liner included. Same stuff used in homemade baby diapers. Elastic allows for the diaper to move and stretch with the bird and be comfortable. Measure from the bottom of the neck right next to the crop under the belly to the vent. Feel free to ask questions. I can add leash loops for 50 cents.

I finally managed, and her poor back is protected. She was attacked by my female goose after I placed my order with you, so the timing was impeccable!!! Thank You!!!

ahem...sorry...I'm sure the pun wasn't intended...

Anyway, I just got my big, fat order and I need more!! The boys are insatiable this year.

I'd love 6 more of the tiniest ones. That ought to work for a bit.

I'm wondering if you'd be brave enough to come up with a 'bonnet' for those girls who get their heads and necks mauled? I'm about to resort to duct tape.

Do you use Paypal for your sales? I'm going to need at least two, one for a Black Sexlink and one for a small White Leghorn. Can you give me advice on which sizes would fit best? Thanks!

Ok, Honey- I'm revising my needs! The boys are all over the place and the girls are suffering from testosterone poisoning!

I need:

4 extra small
2 bantam
4 standard

Thanks so much! These are magnificent.

Hello,

I'm not sure I understand, are we bidding, or are they $3.00 each for the aprons? I sure could use 5 of these in the standard size, in purple if you've got it! There is something not so quite bucolic about bare-backed hens running around the yard!

Thanks!
