Hi Tess -

I bought a saddle from you a while back but never used it - the chicken I bought it for hated it! I have a couple of questions.

I have a dark Brahma hen who now has deep gouges down her sides from my roo's spurs, so am considering buying several of them. Will the saddle protect/prevent the sides or just the hens' backs? Do you keep them on all the time? The elastic that goes under the body - does that go in front of or behind the legs? Will it hurt to put one on my injured hen? I tried the one I bought from you before, but it was for a smaller chicken, I think.

I know, lots of questions, but maybe others are curious, too, so I won't feel too dumb!

I just got two more of the saddles with the wing protectors. My chickens do not object to them at all, except for the part where I put them on!

It REALLY protects them. I just love them.

Some of my poor little hens were just raw on their backs and wings. (And that is another question, why some and not others?)

Anyway, these are very nice, and very well made.

And she sent them very quickly, too.

It will protect her because it covers the sides a bit. The elastic goes around the wings. I prefer this style. I would clean the wounds and put the saddle on and just check for infections. I just got 6 of them from Tess recently... I am very pleased.. the girls didn't mind getting all gussied up.. In Fact... they rather like wearing them... It is my ROOOO that got upset... ahhh he can just get over himself... lol

HI. Is this a true auction, or are the saddles $3.50? If I buy more than one, is the shipping a dollar for each saddle I buy? Could I get my choice of colors (like the top blue one!). What kind of payment do you accept? Thanks!
