I've had this flock, about 8 chickens, for almost a year. There is one particular hen that has been making a hiccuping sound everytime she eats since she was about 3 months old. She has never exhibited any other health issues.
She only makes this hiccuping noise when she eats fast. Never when she is grazing in the yard or drinking - only when she gorges herself when I first refill their food.
None of the rest of the flock have made this noise, and it has been over 8 months of this, making me kind of rule out Gapeworm.
Is this normal, should I be concerned, any ideas what could be causing it?
