I have a chicken who is hiccuping and wheezing but not like a cold wheeze. I am suspecting impacted crop though her crop can not be felt on her neck or chest so I doesn't seem that it would be that large.
Anyone have a chicken with the hiccups and in chickens what does it mean?
Hubby is giving her a little olive oil in case it is impacted crop.
PS I think this may also have been her first day to lay and egg. I have 3 that might have laid it so at first I wondered if it was a really weird egg song.
Edited to add: When she isn't hiccuping she is making a noise kinda like a wheeze. I think maybe something is stuck in her throat.
