Chicken Housing question

My run is 15x20 and my coop is 8x8 and i have plenty of room for my 26 RIRs. But i wouldnt stick anymore in there. If i get more chickens im going to add on.

ahmmm, ok, 1ought x 21 birds = oh,carry over the four = wow !! thats 210 feet of run per bird, oh, wait a minute x4 feet wide per bird, so 840 sq'per bird x 21 = 1600 and something = ok, i think you need 21 acres.
or, you could just play it by ear and sight, if they look happy then life is good. on the other hand if they seem like they are forming into gangs and you start hearing little tommy guns going off at night, then mabey you should expand a bit.
but on the other hand if your driving home some evening and notice some of your birds hitchhiking down the road with a napsack and carring a sign that says "colorado or bust " then maybe you should just go with the 21 acre idea. i hope this information has been helpfull and good luck
