was trying to send the pic of chicks to you as ask about other chicks. made them sprouted lentils and they dont even like. yesterday they got oatmeal. super spoiled.

northwest florida. approx. 5 to 6 #'s. i read you cant breed them online. i obviously have no idea. she seems like she wants out with the rest of them.
Has she laid an egg yet? I assume she hasn't. How's your weather, cold or getting warmer. If the bird was rooster he would have crowed by now.

warm out/south. no eggs. comb looks female so far. i am not the best at identifying. no longer white comb/wattle. week of sun.

Another problem, is I found it very difficult to keep with the laying flock. They just out eat, everything else. I have an old coop/run, not real big, but I have put a dozen Cornish crosses in it, and done well.

The best thing to remember is a good life, a quick end. They do make good eating, I think you could help a family out that does eat meat.

What do they say, 'no good deed goes unpunished."

That's a very well feathered out Cornish cross. Mine never looked that good.
@Carolminifarm does the stray spend most of the day laying down? Does it gobble up food like it hasn't eaten in a week?
