Chicken in the road

Pics
I have let cornish live three years and if you let them free range and limit food a bit it can work. Depends on if you really want it❤️ ours was a cornish rock though which is a mix and theyre a bit of a slower grow and lay well we got meat mixes in our flock that way sweet birds and they are surprisingly hearty! My favorite is the cornish rock rock lol double mated more rock than Cornish now, but they actually are double sweet! I now have a bantam cornish rock because they mated my duccle! Whatever you choose, thank you for saving her life from being hit by a car or something. ❤️

I would put it in a small pen and put it outside your chicken run for a least a few hours a day so your other chickens can see it but not get to it. After a week or two, you can introduce. Watch it to make sure that they don't start ganging up on her. She's probably not friendly due to the total lack of human interaction and the fact that she fell out on the highway.
Yes can you imagine the trauma she went through falling out of a truck going full speed? Also non nurturing humans all she's known? She's got to be confused and very fearful. Sad.

Apparently a chicken truck dropped a white chicken in the divider of a 4 lane highway. I jumped out and got it, brought it home and put it in a small coop. This is day five. Its not friendly, seems healthy. When can i introduce to the others. thanks
Seeing people mention how a CX won’t live long. I had. CX live with my flock, he lived 2 years. My chickens free range as did he and I left feed out. He would eat pretty much however he wanted. He was a big big boy. So I’d recommend keeping food away from her. They do struggle with their legs more due to weight. But they can be very friendly and smart. He died by falling on his back and unable to correct himself. If you have questions or would like more recommendations, I did have to really give him more attention and care than the others, feel free to dm me.

Best of luck!
