Hello -- So had a prolapsed egg situation with hen laying her first egg. Got that fixed and put her in low light solitary w/8hrs outside to prevent her laying (theory). Well next day she laid another egg and made injury far worse. And today she is trying to lay another.

Wondering what to do to shut her down asap so no eggs tomorrow or for a week or two, guaranteed??

Any help appreciated.

It can take 3-4 days to stop them from laying eggs since eggs are constantly being produced. Place her in a dark room or cage overnight and for 16 hours a day, then let her have light for 8 hours to eat and drink and walk around. Keep her away from others who may peck her vent. Reduce her protein in her food for a few days. After she stops laying, she should not lay again for another week or two.

The short days is a good plan but won't happen quickly. You need something now. Call around to avian vets. They may be able to give her a shot to shut down ovulation for a while.
How old is the pullet?
