I had one of my Hens wander into my neighbor's yard where it was attacked by one of her hybrid Wolves. She called and had set it out behind her yard assuming it was dead. When I went out it was still lying there and appeared to be dead. Suddenly it got up and ran to the back of our yard. I retrieved it and we brought it in. The vet who is not familiar with chickens gave us an antibiotic called Daytril. Oral and we gave it to her. We cleaned here wounds out with a wound care product from the feed-store.
She is doing okay right now. She had several puncture wounds and some skin trauma as well. Should we use neosporin or another topical antibiotic in addition?
My wife is concerned that her bladder may have been punctured since her undercarriage seemed to be loaded with a clear liquid. Maybe urine, maybe discharge from her wounds?
Any information is greatly appreciated
