Chicken injury?

Good morning hope y'all doing good so this is not an emergency but it has caused me some curiosity as I've seen many videos on it so I was scrolling on tik tok and came across this


The description says:good afternoon freinds,came home from work an I found this chicken like this,looks like his crop has come out of his beak or does someone know what disease this is.

And this sparked curiosity for me has this happened to anyone? Or does anyone know the cause?

Looks like a canker or something. He's been that way for a while, it didn't happen in a day.

I've seen a few pics of chickens with that type of swelling. It's usually attributed to a swollen and prolapsed esophagus and/or an impacted saliva gland likely caused by some trauma or allergy. The birds do go from fine to completely swollen within a day and the prognosis doesn't seem great (haven't seen or heard of successful treatment) but at least it seems pretty rare. Oh I see that's so strange I've personally never seen that hopefully never well but thank you for the info
