I have a hen that’s at the bottom of the pecking order, I didn’t have a lot of space for my chickens before but recently built a larger area for them, when they were cramped before they pecked a lot of her feathers off, after I built the larger space her feathers started growing back but one day I went out there and it looks like she broke her wing and when it healed, it healed misshaped, swelled up, and had discoloration. I was afraid that she had an infection so I separated her and treated her infection. While she was injured she wasn’t laying eggs but now, her feathers are growing back very well (still has a bit to go) her swelling is about half way down and most of the discoloration is gone. She layed her first egg since the injury 3 days ago and layed every day since. I inspected the first egg and everything seemed fine but if she still has an infection I’m wondering if her eggs are safe to eat. Any opinion would be appreciated. Thank you
