penguin walk is a sign of water belly if I recall correctly. The concern of the area between her legs, although I cannot discern much, makes me believe you're referring to what might look like bloating between her legs and under her vent.

We washed her in warm Epsom salt water. The black area is hot to touch. We applied antiseptic and triple antibiotic cream.she has tums and electrolytes in her water. She is isolated inside and under a heat lamp now resting. I’ll post more pics in the morning.Thank you for responding and being available to help

I apologize for that. I will post clearer pics in the morning. Thank you for being concerned enough to inquire. This is a black tough round 2 inch patch and it is hot to the touch. I have her inside bathed and treated for the night under a heat lamp.

That does indeed sound like fly strike or some wound near the vent. Is it in the vent or near the vent?

Walking like a penguin can also be eggbound. Hopefully you can post better pictures and give us more details.

When did she last lay an egg?

When did this start? Just days ago or has it been building up to this?

What I'd do is give her a whole Calcium tablet, and right away. Preferably 3-400mg of calcium citrate +D3. This can't hurt, and is just in case. Do this once a day for a few days.

I'd also give her probiotics, vitamin water, and cut off everything around her vent so you and we can see what's going on.
