Chicken just died

Hello, my 7-month-old hen suddenly died for no apparent reason.

The days prior, she was out in the yard alone scratching and foraging because my two other hens (same age) were both broody. When I came home at around 4 pm, she was dead in the coop.

I found no wounds and no sign of predator attack, and I don't know how she died. Please help me figure out how she died so I can prevent this in the future.

I have attached an image of her when I found her below. Please help! Thank you.

I am so sorry.

One way to possibly get an idea as to why is to open her up.
Is that something you can do?

You could also refrigerate her, not freeze her, and send her into your state lab for a real answer. Some state labs are very cheap.

So sorry for your loss. I agree that a necropsy is the best way to find out what was wrong.
