Being harassed by rats is enough to make her move quickly and crush the eggs and kill the chicks.Making a nest on the floor can prevent the eggs being crushed.I had to move my hen to the floor because she was struggling to cover the eggs and keep the chicks warm.The chick across from her was likely carried off by a rat.I'm sorry this hatch turned out so badly.
