Chicken laid egg while walking!!

Today one of our chickens just walked past me and popped out an egg while walking.
She then just kept walking like nothing happened.
None of them have ever done this before, and they all know where to lay.
Any ideas as to why she may have done this??

I have found the occasional egg in the garden before. My theory was it was from a new layer, but since i did not observe the culprit, i will never know.

I have no idea why the hen would do that, but I find that to be very funny!!!!

Perhaps she was chased from her nesting area by another hen and couldn't find anywhere else to nest before she accident lot laid it. I've had this happen with my chickens

Thanks guys. I did find it a bit funny, but a bit peculiar at the same time. We do have a couple of bullies so maybe she was chased out. When ya gotta go, Ya gotta go I guess

I have a turkey hen that does that occasionally.
