Hi! I’m brand new to this forum. I’ve looked everywhere online but can’t find information about where you can have chickens in fishers, IN or the surrounding areas. Any information would be greatly appreciated!
Calling animal control, your agriculture department, or your zoning department can get you some answers... being aware that sometimes people act like they know something but maybe lazy or have their own agenda... search several resources.
There might also be a state thread on here (where am I where are you?) with locals that might be able to help... sometimes these posts go by fast and get missed by many. Maybe put your state in the BYC search bar and see what pops up.
Good luck!
ETA: even a good local real estate agent should be able to tell you.. just act like you're interested in buying a house.
Here is the most recent thread to the Indiana byc group: https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/indiana-bycers-here.730582/page-5512
I think there are people from your area or nearby on the thread. I would contact your local zoning board or the extension office for your specific area just to be sure. If you live in a housing edition run by an HOA, you will have to abide by their rules regardless of the county rules.
