I live in Northumberland and just received a notice saying that I must stop harboring chickens on my 1.73 acre lot. I live what is generally considered to be out in the country but in a small subdivision right next to a series of farms. I have them in a good sized coup on my property. I saw that Saratoga Springs allows chickens and my address is Saratoga Springs despite living inside Northumberland's Town limits. I was unable to find anything on the towns website regarding any laws associated with this. They eluded to it being a zoning issue despite nothing mentioning chickens or poultry. Any help would be appreciated.
