Chicken Laying?!?!

my chicken is concerning me. It went and cooped up early, went in the nesting box and is make a soft qrrrrrrrrr type noise. She doesn't seem to be distressed, but should I be concerned? Sorry if this is a stupid question.

Is weird and very hard to describe she has sort of can you define your version of broody?

When a chicken goes broody she will nest all day and all night. Usually she will pull out her chest features and will sit on eggs but if their are no eggs she will just brood on an empty nest. She will very rarely get down to eat, drink and poop and will make angry dinosaur noises when approached.

If you think she is broody you can search "breaking a broody" in the forums to read how to stop the behavior. Please usually put them in wire bottom cages to keep them from nesting.
