Ok so my chicken keeps leaving her nest. I know that she can leave for short amounts of time but how long is too long,? My chicken constantly switches with another one of my hens, they are both on fertile eggs. Although I went out today to feed my flock and she switched her nesting area as usual but the other one was a different chicken. She seemed as if she was on the eggs but I went to touch them and they were just about room temperature. I don't know how long that set up was there for but do you think that some of my eggs may have died? Can room temperature be enough? What should I do?

You might want to separate her and her eggs from the rest of the flock so she has no other option but to sit on the eggs you want her on. I had a similar problem with my broody. She would take a break from setting so she could eat or drink and she would go back to the wrong eggs.

The problem is I have no where else to put here the place that I have both of those hens in is the isolated area from the rest of the flock
