Chicken leg skin problem

Hello everyone. My sex link hens have bumps/knots on their legs, and the skin is dried up. Less than a year old. The bottom of their feet looks ok. I am posting a pic if I can. Whatever it is, Rhode Islands don't get the bumps and knots. Anyone know the cure for this? Thanks for your help.

It sounds like it might be leg mites, which are treated with most anything that smothers them, such as Vaseline or nonstick spray or veggie oil. Lots of folks scrub the legs gently with a soft toothbrush and soap and water first, to get them exposed. Do a quick search and you should find lots of pics to compare with yours.

Sounds like scaly leg mites.
