chicken leg slammed in door (help)

PolyViSol (no iron) baby vitamin drops. Works like a charm. I had a chick get smushed and the leg was purple and twisted. It was running around with the other chicks within days. Give your hen about 4 drops a day.

It will take a while to heal don;t panic yet! Leave her to rest and try not to move her too much - you did splint it??? And you are giving her vitamins?
She may well always limp on it you might have to live with that. - make sure she is eating , drinking and pooing ok and don;t keep messing with the leg !

yes we splinted the leg she will be fine im sure everything else is fine eating drinking pooping maybe she laid a soft egg today but i think thats to be expected after a injury. havnt gotten vitamins yet can i get them at regular grocery store or pharmacy

Yes - they are just normal infant vitamin drops but you must get the one with NO iron in it and Roboflavin in. That should help . It will make the water bright yellow only use a few drops each time. This will help . Its not expensive either. You should be able to get it at the pharmacy easy.

Yes, you can get a Walmart, Walgreens and pretty much any drug store. Please don't cull. Its amazing how these chickens can battle injuries.
