Chicken Limits for Goldsbor, NC, Outside of City Limits

Hi,

My family is looking at renting home outside of the city limits of Goldsboro, North Carolina (I'm not actually sure what it means to be "outside city limits" exactly but on the map, our property is outside of the lines).

I was wondering if anyone knows if the 6 chicken limit applies outside the city limits. Also, I was wondering what the process is for getting permits for chickens.

It has been quite a while since you posted this. What did you learn? We are considering moving to that area. Are backyard chickens allowed?

OP is unlikely to answer. "Outside city limits" would generally imply looking at the county codes. I would suggest starting a new thread with more specifics of where you are looking for best results.
