My almost 8 month old RIR pullet limps when she runs. This started yesterday, after I locked them in the coop all day. I think it's possible she MAY have injured herself inside. The galloping has happened before - once - when she was around 6 months old. The problem resolved itself later that day, bringing me immense relief. But now it's back again. She's limping when running in a sort-of-galloping manner, even worse than yesterday. She still walks normally and does everything else fine. What could this be? I'm leaning towards an injury, but really, I don't know. Her feet may or may not be swollen; I can't really tell. Should i give her half a baby aspirin in the meantime? What could this be?

Could you post photos of her legs and feet including the bottoms of her feet? She may have an injury or she may have "bumble foot" (staph infection).

No baby aspirin. I'm not seeing anything suspicious looking. Were you able to get any shots of the bottoms of her feet? You haven't noticed any cuts, splinters or anything? Maybe she pulled a muscle? One of my hens seemed to be a little wobbly on her legs a few days ago and I think she injured it getting down from the roost but by the end of the day she was walking normally again and has been fine every since. Is this a possibility with yours?

Oops - I already administered half a baby aspirin once yesterday, and once today. She seemed better the morning following the aspirin. The bottoms of her feet are normal, ill try to get a shot but it's difficult to hold the camera and a chicken at the same time  So I shouldn't continue the aspirin? Should I make her run every day to see if she improves, or should i leave her alone? There arent any splinters or anything. What should I do?

Help!! After a dust bath, she's even limping when she's walking, and jumping when she's running!! I think I found the problem area, though:

Is this an injury or what? Should I give pain meds? Should I lock her in the coop to rest? Should she be allowed to free range? What can I do to help her??
Edit: It's a lot pinker irl. Also a lot pinker on my phone.

I'm not seeing anything suspicious from the photos you've posted. Are you able to hold her and get photos of the underside of her feet? That's what we need to see. Is she still limping?
