My buff orphington was found in the nesting box sitting on 2 good eggs and one broke. egg. The broken egg was stuck to its chest and underside.

I let the chickens out of the pen to get grass and when this chicken did not come out thats when I found this problem.

This did happen with this same chicken a month ago. Her feathers never grew back, and now she has even less feathers!!

Its 32 degrees F here at night, so i put her in a dog crate in the basement where its 60 degrees.

What is happening to my chicken, and how do save her?

I don't think it's anything serious. She sits on the eggs, breaks one accidentally? and it sticks to her feathers. Likely she plucks them out b/c they get dirty and smelly. She may not grow new feathers until the molt.
I don't think you need to separate her and if she has a few friends they will all snuggle up at night to keep warm :)

Yes, she seems very Broody she is 1 year old and she doesn’t want to come out of the nesting box. I chased her out 3x.

Well that would explain the bare breast. She fumbled and broke an egg she was brooding is all.
There is nothing wrong with her. She wants babies.
