Just something on chicken behavior.I lost my rooster a few month's back with a sudden death.Don't know what happened,just died in the night.After awhile I noticed that a hen in my small flock had started coming to me when I went to the coop and she was making all kinds of purring noises.One day I was in the run digging out holes to place blocks for my framework on my new coop and she was constantly with me and around the area making these noises.She would let me put my on her and even pick her up at times.The other day I sat down on a step in the run and she came over fairly close.I picked her up and sat her on my lap.She sat there and let me rub her not realizing that I wasn't holding her.When I stopped rubbing her she got down.Everyday I go to the coop she comes running.This morning I was late going down to check my chickens.I started talking to her and she wouldn't have anything to do with me.She was mad because I was late going down.It's just like a female.
