Stacey, did you tag the wrong thread? Last post was in 2017
Please give more information and photos - poop, pullet, etc.Could I please get an update on this? Any changes? Was it gapeworm that the chicken had? If so, how did you decide to treat it? I’m dealing with the exact same symptoms in a 5 month old chicken. Please update.![]()
Please give more information and photos - poop, pullet, etc.
What symptoms are you seeing in your pullet - this is an old thread, so knowing what YOU are seeing would be good.
Is the crop emptying overnight?
Any mucous, bubbles in the eyes, facial swelling, coughing, sneezing, lesions or canker inside the beak?
I believe the crop is emptying. I can feel some grit in there but nothing else. Coughing, sneezing, hiccuping type noises. No visible sorts, cankers, lesions, anything. Pullet otherwise developing normally until yesterday. Poop is normal. And now two other pullet in my flock are also showing fever like symptoms, one coughs, the other calls for my help/attention (but she’s always been an attention diva). She doesn’t feel good and wants Mama. I’ve treated them all with one dose Safeguard dewormer 0.23cc/pound of weight. They’ve all have one dose and I’ll list the improvements below:Please give more information and photos - poop, pullet, etc.

I saw your problem,I have the same problem with one of my girls,I do not have a vet for chickens, what happened with your girl? Did you find a medicine? Please help me ,I have no ideea what to do.Okay, if it is gapeworm, I have a couple questions about it.
There's medicine for it or something like that? How much is it, and where can you get it?
If it wasn't gapeworm, and I gave her the medicine, would that hurt her in any way?
