chicken makes long high pitched noise?

hello, I have a 12 year old very tame chicken, and she often makes a loud, high pitched noise and I wonder what it means. it's a long sound and when she's out of breath because of it she inhales for a second and continues the noise. she usually looks at me when she makes the noise, or she will make it when she notices I am looking at her. does anyone know the meaning of this noise?

Sounds like a predator warning. She could be making it when she sees ANYTHING that she considers to be alarming.
