I have a one year old salmon favrolles who started making weird noises today. It stops while she’s eating and foraging but it’s pretty consistent otherwise. Her crop feels a little squishy too but no bed breath or other signs of sour crop. She did lay an egg today already. I have a video of the sounds here:
It’s like a grumbling and groaning noise that’s almost like a long “honk”with some higher pitched “yips” in between. It’s hard to explain. It’s fairly loud when she gets going. She seems a little agitated but then when she starts foraging it calms down a little. Also maybe unrelated but the same hen has been laying some eggs with discolouration and not totally symmetrical. She’s always been a bit odd (zoning out sometimes and doing her own thing occasionally) but this is new. If you know how to post a video please let me know and I can share it.
