Chicken making strange sound- help please?

Just today one of our young pullets (buff Orpington just about to start laying) started making a new sound, quite constantly. She’s acting well, eating and drinking but of course we are just about to leave town. I’m not familiar with what I’m hearing. Link here

Might have something causing irritation in the airway. It usually works itself out.

Sometimes if they're really cold they have a hard time making "normal" sounds. What's the weather like where you are?

That sound is called stridor. It is a high pitched sound made when something , such as a small piece of feed or mucus, gets stuck in the airway. It may clear in a few hours. If there is also sneezing, it could be a sign of a respiratory infection. Let us know if she sounds better in the morning.

Thanks all! We just had a big storm/snow and a temp drop. It sounded like stridor to me but her color is good and she’s so chipper. No sneezing. Let’s hope it’s just something in her airway like you stated.
